Privacy Policy

Effective Date: February 2026
Last Updated: February 2026

Recomp is a body recomposition tracker built with privacy as a core feature, not an afterthought. This policy explains how the app handles your data — which is simple, because the app collects and transmits exactly zero data.

What Data We Collect

None.

All data you enter into Recomp (body measurements, meal logs, workout logs, mood entries, daily ratings) is stored locally on your iPhone using Core Data. This data never leaves your device. The app makes zero network requests.

HealthKit Data

If you choose to enable HealthKit integration, Recomp reads:

This data is accessed on-device only, with your explicit permission. It is never transmitted to any server. HealthKit data is used solely to display trend overlays in the app's charts.

No Accounts

Recomp does not require user accounts, email addresses, or any personal identification. You open the app and start logging. That's it.

No Analytics or Tracking

Recomp contains no third-party analytics SDKs, no crash reporting frameworks, and no tracking pixels. We don't know how many people use the app, how often they use it, or what features they use. We deliberately chose not to collect this data.

No Cloud Sync

Your data is not synced to any cloud service — not iCloud, not our servers (we don't have any), not anywhere. If you delete the app, your data is gone. This is intentional. Keeping your data local is a core design principle.

No Ads

Recomp contains no advertising and no ad-tracking frameworks. The business model is a simple one-time purchase or subscription (when Pro features launch). No ads. Ever.

Third-Party Services

None.

Recomp makes zero network requests. It does not connect to any third-party services. The only data exchange is optional HealthKit reading (local to your device) and displaying App Store purchase information (handled by Apple's StoreKit framework, not by us).

Data Deletion

You can delete all your data from within the app:

  1. Open Settings in the app
  2. Scroll to Data Management
  3. Tap "Delete All Data"

Uninstalling the app also removes all data. There is no "account recovery" because there are no accounts.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, we'll update this page and note the change in the app's release notes. Given that the app collects no data, changes to this policy are unlikely. But if our data practices change (for example, if we add optional cloud sync in the future), we'll clearly document it here and in the app.

Summary

Recomp is a solo developer app that collects no data. Your workout logs, meal entries, measurements, and mood check-ins stay on your device. No servers. No tracking. No cloud sync. No accounts. This is privacy by design.
